My Ramshorn Snails Turning White. What Can I Do?

I noticed that my Ramshorn turning white. Many of them are dead. Based on what I found on the Internet, the snails are lack of calcium, besides the water might be too hard. Many people suggest to feed the snails with a squid bone to increase back their substances. So I followed the suggestion. Nevertheless, there is no any changes and my snails condition still the same. So far my water condition is okay, so no need to worry about that.

See! All of their shells are still white even though they have already eaten that squid bone. Nothing much is changing.

This is the condition of my snails now. Healthy, shining and have bright color.

FYI - I have two types of Ramshorn. Red and black.

How to save them? CAT FOOD. Yes. I feed them with cat kibbles. Ramshorn love to eat anything organic and soft such as cucumber slice, fish or chicken slice etc. They also love to eat fish flakes.

Cat kibbles have similar texture with fish flakes, but with more vitamins and minerals. I choose Royal Canin (first age mother and baby cat) and feed my Ramshorn between two or three pieces per day. The result can be seen in several days as they started to grow healthier shell.

Ingredients of cat kibbles. My Ramshorn love it.
